Apple users are currently receiving emails like: “Your iCloud storage is full. Get 50 gigabytes free.

The German consumer protection portal “Watchlist Internet” has warned about the spread of phishing messages targeting Apple iCloud users.

The portal explained that Apple users are currently receiving emails like: “Your iCloud storage is full. Get 50 gigabytes free.”

The portal advises not to click on such messages because they are sent by internet hackers and not by Apple.
Clicking on such messages can lead users to fake websites where hackers can steal Apple ID credentials for iCloud storage, as well as credit card information.

If someone falls victim to hackers, it’s important for users to immediately change their Apple ID password and inform the bank to stop their credit card.

What is Cloud Storage?

In simple terms, cloud storage is like a digital space where you can keep your files, and you can access them from anywhere using the internet. It’s a bit like having a personal online storage room.

Using Apple’s iCloud:

The German consumer protection portal suggests turning on something called “Two-Factor Authentication” to protect your Apple ID. This extra layer of security stops hackers from easily getting into your account.

iCloud Service: iCloud is a cloud storage service created by Apple. It allows users to save different types of files on big servers located in China. You can get to your files from anywhere by using your personal Apple ID. The name “cloud service” comes from the idea of storing files on external servers rather than just on your own device.

iCloud Features: You can download saved files on devices like Mac, iOS (iPhone or iPad), and even on Windows. The service lets you share files with other users. If your devices get lost or stolen, you can still manage your files. iCloud also allows you to display data on Apple TV through secure wireless links.

Remember, it’s always good to be careful online and take steps to protect your accounts!
